The construction adjudication process is designed to be a faster, more efficient way to deal with any construction disputes. Several questions need to be answered and followed to adhere to the process, learn more by watching the video where our construction partner, Steven Smith explains further.

  • Pre-adjudication – has the dispute ‘crystallised’?
  • Has the notice of Adjudication and Referral Notice been served, and does it detail the referring party’s case?
  • How is an adjudicator appointed?
  • Does the adjudicator have jurisdiction to actually determine the dispute?
  • Has the responding party responded and submitted evidence within seven days of the Referral Notice?
  • Has the adjudicator requested further documents and received a Reply from the referring party, as well as a Rejoinder from the responding party?
  • The final decision is made by the adjudicator within 28 days of the referral notice.
