B P Collins LLP has stepped up as a sponsor of the 2016 Buckinghamshire Business Awards for the very first time.
Ahead of its own 50th anniversary next year, the practice is sponsoring the New Business of the Year category and is looking to celebrate those individuals who have had the foresight, entrepreneurship and determination to start afresh.
Simon Deans, partner and practice group leader of the corporate and commercial team, said: “Given our own 50 years at the heart of the local community, we felt now was the perfect opportunity to engage with this excellent awards programme.
“Every day, we see first-hand the hard work, effort, innovation and sheer determination necessary to create a successful new business, which is why rewarding those who have the vision and entrepreneurial spirit to take on such challenges is very important to us.
“Our team of professional advisers has worked closely with many such fledging businesses, helping them to grow, expand and bring new creativity and employment into the county. Now we want to hear their stories of success and hope as many organisations as possible will enter the awards.”
Among the key evidence the judges will be looking for are:
- How the start-up was achieved
- Growth to date
- Strength and stability of the business
- Understanding of the market in which they operate
- Vision/strategy for future development
- Funding arrangements and investment plans for the business
The award is open to any business that started trading after 1 January 2013 and cannot be an expansion of an existing business, name change or new location of an existing organisation.
The awards are being hosted by Bucks Business First and other categories include Business Leader of the Year, Enterprising Charity of the Year and Food and Drink Producer of the Year.
First held in 2006, when they were known as the Buckinghamshire Enterprise Awards, the Buckinghamshire Business Awards are now recognised as the county’s leading business awards and have a major role to play in showcasing the success of the county to the wider community.
