B P Collins welcomed local businesses and community organisations to its offices on Thursday 27 June, who came to learn more about the benefits of having a CSR Accreditation.
Guests heard from Richard Collins, Head of the National CSR Accreditation Scheme; Michael Garvey, Chair of Bucks Business First and MD of Chandler Garvey property consultants and Countess Elizabeth Howe, Chair of Heart of Bucks.
Simon Deans, senior partner, B P Collins also spoke about how B P Collins was the first law firm in the country to secure a Gold accreditation in the national Corporate Social Responsibility Accreditation scheme and referenced a huge number of environmental and community initiatives which have helped the firm to achieve this. He said:
“Being a responsible business is a reflection of the culture and values of the people within it, so I’d like to thank the team for all its efforts. But of course it doesn’t stop here; our commitment to improving the environment and local community, supporting staff and dedication to philanthropy is ongoing.”
B P Collins is involved in a range of CSR initiatives including:
- Supporting local charities and community groups through Heart of Bucks. Each staff member is given a say on who the firm should give donations to every year.
- Supporting young people through the sponsorship of Beaconsfield High School, local youth sports teams and by being trustees of Bucks SportsAid.
- Protecting the environment through a paper-lite scheme and uses re-usable coffee cups and re-usable cotton shopper bags to help cut back on single-use plastic and waste.
