B P Collins has won Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce’s (TVCC) Workplace Wellbeing Award at its second Business Awards gala dinner at the Reading Hilton Hotel on 27 June 2019. B P Collins was recognised for incorporating staff wellbeing into its business culture and being committed to making the firm a ‘great place to work’ through four pillars: health, social, work and corporate social responsibility.
Steve Perry, Business Development manager collected the award on the night and said:
“When B P Collins started to think about developing its wellbeing programme in 2017, we made a conscious effort to not simply pay lip service to the wellbeing trend that was on everybody’s lips.
“The senior team took the decision that our wellbeing programme would become an intrinsic part of our business strategy and embedded into our culture.
“This was to ensure it wouldn’t become a forgettable tick box exercise and instead would properly look after the health and wellbeing of all of our team who are hugely valued.
“Fast forward to 2019, and the results speak for themselves. With our mental health, fitness and CSR programmes in place, independent research has found that our staff feel valued and appreciate how the firm takes the duty of care of its employees very seriously.
“Thank you to Thames Valley Chamber for recognising our efforts.”
In 2018, TVCC launched its Business Awards. The gala event showcases the talents, innovation and entrepreneurship of companies from across the Thames Valley region.
B P Collins is now automatically entered into the national British Chambers of Commerce Awards and will represent the South in the Wellbeing in the Workplace category.
