Chambers UK, one of the UK’s leading legal directories, has announced its results for 2023. B P Collins LLP is delighted to learn that it has retained strong rankings for its practices and lawyers, with more individuals being recognised this year.
Individuals recognised
Simon Carroll, dispute resolution partner, is now regarded as ‘Up and coming’ by Chambers, which says he has considerable experience in business litigation, particularly cases where fraud and misconduct are alleged. It also finds that he is, “he is on top of the law and is good at handling clients.”
Meanwhile, Maria Mowberry, real estate partner, has moved up a rank after Chambers recognises that she uses her wealth of experience and extensive understanding of the property world to assist in matters for both commercial and private individuals. One testimonial reads: “Maria is excellent in all commercial matters. She provides a great level of service and is able to explain matters in simple terms.”
Band 1 practice rankings
B P Collins is delighted to learn that its crime, corporate, environment and family teams receive ‘Band 1’ rankings again. While employment, dispute resolution and real estate practices all retain their high rankings.
Band 1 rankings for individuals
Many lawyers from across the firm retain the highest status awarded by Chambers. Craig Williams in litigation and environment, Jo Davis in employment, Sue Andrews in family, David Smellie in corporate and commercial and Alex Zachary in environment, all achieve a ‘Band 1’.
Retained rankings
Other lawyers who continue to maintain their rankings in the top two tiers are Matthew Brandis, head of dispute resolution. Chris Brazier and Kathryn Fielder, employment and business immigration partners, retain their ‘Up and Coming’ and ‘Associate to Watch’ titles respectively. Alison Taylor, real estate partner and practice group leader retains her ranking, as do Emily Halley, real estate associate, Phil Hind, property dispute partner and Alex Zachary, corporate partner.
