Ella joined B P Collins as a paralegal in August 2018 and commenced her training contract with the firm in October 2018. During her training contract she sat in the Family Team for over a year and qualified as a Solicitor in October 2020.

Experience

Ella specialises exclusively in private family law. Her practice includes advising and assisting individuals in connection with separation, divorce and finances, Schedule 1 proceedings, parenting agreements, child arrangements (including internal and international relocation) and domestic abuse injunctions.

In divorce cases, Ella has advised in cases featuring inheritance or non-matrimonial assets and has represented individuals who have an NHS, Teachers or other public sector pensions.

Ella has acted in Children Act proceedings where the child concerned has special educational needs and/or an EHC plan and where there are allegations of parental alienation. She has also successfully acted in international relocation cases and cases which feature alcohol and drug abuse and has instructed independent social workers.

She also has experience in matters where domestic abuse is an issue and where one or both parties have traits of narcissistic personality disorder or mental health issues.

Ella has also represented clients in alternative forms of dispute resolution such as arbitration.

As a member of Resolution, Ella is committed to resolving disputes in a constructive, amicable and timely manner but also assists clients with court applications where necessary. She works closely with accountants, IFAs, therapists, mortgage brokers and mediators to ensure that her clients have access to a variety of professionals.

Outside the office

Outside of work Ella enjoys live music, going to the theatre and travelling.
